If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions; if you would like an author visit to your school or organization, or if you just love books and want to reach out:
I have written four children’s books titled Viku and the Elephant, Viku to the Rescue, Viku and the Ivory Thieves. These books are about exposing children to other cultures (India in this case) and each is built around a specific theme—such as friendship, perseverance, and conservation. Each book has discussion questions and a pronunciation guide for foreign words.
I was invited to speak at the annual meeting of the Idaho Association of School Administrators (IASA) in Boise in 2014 and copies of these three books were give to the Elementary School Administrators who were present at the conference. Based on my contributions of these children’s books and Op-Ed articles I have written on improving education, IASA gave me their LIFE (Leadership in Idaho by Friends of Education) Award in 2015.
Now the 4th Viku book has come out: Viku Goes to School. The theme of this book is bullying. This book provides an easy way for parents and children talk about bullying, with Discussion Questions to make these conversations easier. These questions were developed with the help of National Award winning teachers, who encounter this problem in their own classrooms.
The Viku adventure books are available as print, as eBooks and for the iPad.
I would appreciate it very much if you would include my books in your distribution. I would offer to write a short article for your site on the importance of learning about another culture and how it will benefit children.
